My heart is still before You this morning, Lord. The skies are cloudy. The birds are chirping sweetly. This morning's left-over raindrops splash in the water here and there as they fall from the leaves when the quiet wind stirs the trees from time to time. What a beautiful Sabbath, Lord!
Psalm 143:8
"Cause me to hear thy LOVINGKINDNESS in the morning; for in Thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto Thee."
Stillness before You this morning is sweet, and I think of the verse ":Be STILL and KNOW that I am God." (Ps. 46:10a) STILLNESS before You brings peace. KNOWING that You are GOD and that You are sovereign in the circumstances and happenings of my life brings me
peace, too, even in the midst of pain and sorrow.
Psalm 37:11
"But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall DELIGHT themselves in the abundance of PEACE"
The MEEK will DELIGHT in PEACE!
Let me stop and meditate…
To love You and others more than MYSELF=MEEKNESS=PEACE!
And what does it meant to DELIGHT myself in the ABUNDANCE of PEACE? There will be LOTS and LOTS of continual peace if my heart STAYS delighted in YOU! The true PEACE that comes from You because of
Isaiah 29:19
"The meek also shall INCREASE THEIR JOY in the LORD, and the poor among men shall REJOICE in the Holy One of Israel.
Yes, Lord if I am truly MEEK because You have imparted Your holiness to me – if I am completely surrendering my life to You for the good of others – THEN I shall INCREASE my JOY in YOU!
