I am reminded of the way God has seemingly had me LIVING the Psalms at times. Many times I have been meditating through a a Psalm, and circumstances in my life will run from day to day to "fit" the Psalm that I am meditating on. It's really amazing! For instance, just a few days before my husband had his accident and broke his back in Nov. 1998, the Lord was preparing me with Psalm 84, and I had been meditating on God's strength through the "Valley of Baca". In fact, I had written, "And what will tomorrow bring? Where will I be a year from now? What shall be the "valleys of Baca" that come between now and then? O Lord, I do not know, but I think of the song "I Don't Know About Tomorrow, But I Know Who Holds My Hand". YOU DO! :)
Well, a week or more ago the Lord showed me these next two passages (in the next post) share with you. Little did I realize that He would soon have me EXPERIENCING them again. If you are in a RELAPSE right now as I was then, I hope these verses will encourage you.
Also...
"Remember the WORD unto they servant, upon which thou hast caused me to HOPE. This is my COMFORT in my affliction: for thy WORD hath quickened me." (Ps. 119:49-59)
