Faith in Future Grace
Psalm 116:12-14, 17
12 What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?
Lord, how shall I give thanks for all your blessings to me today? The next verse tells!
13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.
How shall I give thanks? I shall accept Your wonderful salvation, and "I SHALL CALL AGAIN!" I can show my appreciation for Your help by calling again…and again…and again! You love for me to call upon Your name, and I'm sure glad this pleases You because I am destitute and in need of Your HELP every day!
14 I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people.
And how will I pay my vows? "They shall be paid by faith in future grace"… FAITH in FUTURE GRACE. That means faith for next month, faith for next week, faith for tomorrow, faith for the next hour, and yes, even faith for the next second. You want me to LIVE in faith…"FAITH IN FUTURE GRACE"!
He Giveth More Grace
What can I give to Thee, my Lord?
I prayed to God one day.
You've done so much for me in love;
A debt have I to pay.
You made Your life for me a loss;
You died on Calvary.
You spared the rod and bore my stripes,
That I might be set free!
But barring that,
You gave me more…
The grace to perseve;
The grace to love the things of Heav'n;
The grace to hold You dear.
So tell me Lord, what can I do,
To pay You that I owe?
What can I do to make You smile…
To see Your pleasure grow?
The Lord then breathed into my heart,
The answer clear and loud,
No, you can never pay in part,
The debt that has you bound,
For every work of good you'd do
Would be a work of mine,
A work of grace upon your heart,
To make it genuine!
Thus, everything for Me you'd give
Would but enlarge your debt,
For by Me ALONE, good doth come;
I'll work such through you yet!…
I breathed the question in you now,
Of what you might do for Me,
For by love it comes, (which I'VE GIVEN)
That your question came to be.
But I'll tell you now what you can do
By the power of My Love…
You may ask for Me to give you MORE
