The 3-day Experiment
Isaiah 41:10,13
1a Fear thou not; for I am with thee:
O God , what sweet and precious words these are to my heart just now - special words just to me. I awoke, crying out this morning, "O God, where are You?"
My doctor says I will be better off if I can get off this estradiol since it has been known to flare candida, and my dear husband wants me to get off of it because of cancer risk. But in trying to slowly make the switch from estradiol to Menopryn (Black Cohash and Soy), I have "whacked-out" my body bigtime! I must have awakened 5-7 times last night. (Interesting it was that I found my sweetheart reading his Bible in the livingroom at 2:30 a.m. He couldn't sleep either, but there's no way for him to really understand what I'm going through...for he doesn't have the FM symptoms when his sleep is messed up. He can go on 4-5 hrs. of sleep.)
Lord, what am I going to do? What AM I going to do? Hormone imbalance and getting the wrong dose of estradiol brings back the horrible symptoms, and you know how rotten I feel today...and a little scared at the moment. Must I choose between this and cancer? "FEAR NOT....Don't be afraid", You say to me. Yes, Lord, surely there must be answer! Surely there is hope! Surely You will help me like You have in the past!
Lord, You know I've experienced years of broken-up sleep as well as many nightime sleepless hours, and the last few months have been so wonderful in comparison. A night with only 1-2 awakenings is just wonderful! May I experience it yet again!
"O God, where are You?" Yes, this was my cry as I awoke, and when I began reading Is. 41:10 this morning, Your answer came - "Fear thou not; for I AM WITH THEE!"
O God, where are You? You are HERE..You are HERE WITH ME! What joy to know that You are with me! Surely everything will be o.k.!...and what a wonderful promise I just found in Ex. 33:14! You say to me, "My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee REST." REST! REST! Hallelujah! Amen!
1b be not dismayed; for I AM thy God;
"Dismayed" means "to gaze at or about (prop.for help)...bewildered...look (away).
Oh, Lord, let me not be dismayed...looking about....looking away from You.
"I am thy God", You say to me. "This is where You find help - in ME! There is no other help!"
Ah, yes, Lord, You are right! You are the great I AM, the everlasting source of life and health! Amen!
